Saturday Art School is an amazing opportunity for kids ages 5-14 to explore and appreciate the wonderful world of art. Kids will get a chance to draw, paint, color, and sculpt their Saturday away as they learn about artists and cultures from around the world.

Saturday Art School will be held on Saturday's throughout the year in our Lyndhurst location (NEW locations coming soon). Programs are 1 hour long, include all art supplies and focused on teaching kids about Master Artists, Art Styles and Cultural Art from around the world.

At the end of every session, we invite the parents and siblings into the art room to see all the beautiful artwork and participate in our Art Critique Session. Kids are encouraged to speak positively about each others artwork.

Have you kids become little artists as they use different art mediums to create masterpiece artwork.

Walk ins welcome as long as there is additional space available. Online registration preferred.

Types of Classes

Art Kids Academy has 3 categories of art classes that are all a little different and geared toward kids ages 5-14.

Standard Art Class

Uses crayons, pencils, markers, oil pastels, chalk, watercolor paints, tempera cakes, and collage materials. Kids will learn about Master Artists, Art Styles and Cultural Art from Around the World. Each class is a new topic and a new project. Some classes are drawing, some are painting. We mix it up so each class is different.

Speciality Art Class

Uses acrylic paint, canvas paper/board, liquid tempera, metallic paint, clay, model magic, recycled art and other premium art materials. Kids will learn about Master Artists, Art Styles and Cultural Art from Around the World. Each class is a new topic and a new project. These are specialty art painting and sculpture classes.

Art & Cooking Class

This is a once a month 2 hour special event focused on 1 topic. For the first hour kids will create an art project (drawing or painting) followed by an hour dedicated to creating a culinary creation. This unique program teaches kids how art and cooking are connected. Great program for kids interested in both Art & Cooking.
